When we talk of summer, one thing comes to mind: beach!! I’ve been to many beaches but I’m not as excited as this one because I’m finally completing #13 of my bucketlist: SURFING! Yay! I went to Baler, Aurora with Franz and friends Melai, Terence, Abby and Jeff last March30-31. After a 5-hour trip on a Genesis Joy Bus (PHP700), we sent to do some side trips. We rented a trycle at PHP800 for the whole day (max 3person per tric). We went to two falls, millenium tree and museums. My favorite would definitely be the trek to Mother Falls…

Bangkok, Thailand: Elephants, Tigers and Floating Market
by Haifa Carinaby Haifa CarinaHuhua! The last destination of our two-week trip! Bangkok is pretty much like Metro Manila, a big busy metropolitan city. We were hostel hopping here. From Sukhumvit, to i-dunno-the-place to finally the convenient Khao San Road. If you havent done lot of research, then you’re probably end up having difficulty moving around like we did. Floating Market, food trip! You’ll find many kinds of weird tasting food. Lol. Khao San Road, chilling spot for travellers. They have exotic street food! Wanna eat spiders and worms? Ack! Mt. Batulao, Batangas: Lester Proposes to Gen
by Haifa Carinaby Haifa CarinaMt. Batulao in Nasugbu, Batangas is the 3rd mountain I explored. Despite the many rock climbing, grass gripping and trek falling moments, the view at the summit and the halo-halo were definitely worth it! What’s more? In collaboration with the rest of the group, our mountain climbing buddy Lester proposed to Gen! Then with tears, Gen said…. “i hate you all!”. lol! Meet the newly engaged couple, Lester and Gen! The trek had no trees! Grass all the way! The camp site where we pitched our tents were formed like terraces. Jorge and Jommel. You’ll meet them at the campsite. Are…

Rou Hostel was the best hostel we’ve stayed in during our 2-week Indochina budget trip. It was a humble place situated at the center of the city where the main attractions are just walking distance. They have big bunk beds each with its own emergency light and a pair of outlets. Each bunkbed also had their own locker which is very convenient!
