I am loving Cebu! I think I might consider moving there for awhile just to experience the awesome nature wonders it offers! For summer 2014, Franz and I went to Cebu as the first leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip from May 7-13. Our main destination in Cebu is the 1.5hour drive from Cebu City and another hour boat ride to the beautiful islands of Camotes! We stayed at Santiago Bay Resort and toured the place on a motorcyle for a day. For 500 pesos, the tour already includes Lake Danao, Timubo Cave (swimming!), Baywalk, and if you’re brave enough you…

Baler, Aurora: Summer Surfing
by Haifa Carinaby Haifa CarinaWhen we talk of summer, one thing comes to mind: beach!! I’ve been to many beaches but I’m not as excited as this one because I’m finally completing #13 of my bucketlist: SURFING! Yay! I went to Baler, Aurora with Franz and friends Melai, Terence, Abby and Jeff last March30-31. After a 5-hour trip on a Genesis Joy Bus (PHP700), we sent to do some side trips. We rented a trycle at PHP800 for the whole day (max 3person per tric). We went to two falls, millenium tree and museums. My favorite would definitely be the trek to Mother Falls…

Their traffic is also worth mentioning. With motorcycles outnumbering cars big time on the road, its like a daily motorcade there! During our 3 days stay, we went to Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Central Post Office and Notre Dame. We also watched the AO Show. Then we went on a tour at Cu Chi Tunnels (via TNK Travel). The thing I find most interesting is definitely the…

Davao City: DevCon Project Mgt Camp
by Haifa Carinaby Haifa CarinaCrossing out 6.12 of my bucket list is Davao City! Yay! This beautiful place is like Manila less the crowd and traffic! I flew to Davao City with Terence and Mike last October 19 for DevCon Project Management Camp (Davao). At NAIA Terminal 2 7AM, we had breakfast and saw local celebrities like Rhian Ramos and Jericho Rosales. Then off to Davao! When we arrived, the sun was scorching hot! We checked in at Green Windows Dormitel. We had lunch then went to Ingenuity Office which was just two blocks away from where we were staying. During the camp, i…
