For the final leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip, we made sure to visit this place has to offer! Its my 3rd time in Bohol and its actually just now that I had the chance to visit its tourist attractions: Tarsier Conservatory, Chocolate Hills, Shiphaus (new!), Prony (wax na :/) and Loboc River Cruise. For the 2nd leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip, we rode a boat from the port of Poro in Camotes Islands, Cebu to Ormoc, Leyte. Our main destination in Leyte was the town of Maasim to visit Franz’s family. Stayed there for two days just in time for Mother’s Day and his father’s birthday! During our stay here, I learned a lot about spirits, beliefs and superstitions from their relatives which I find interesting and fascinating in many ways. I am loving Cebu! I think I might consider moving there for awhile just to experience the awesome nature wonders it offers! For summer 2014, Franz and I went to Cebu as the first leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip from May 7-13. Our main destination in Cebu is the 1.5hour drive from Cebu City and another hour boat ride to the beautiful islands of Camotes! As part of DevCon, I was invited together with my colleague Carlo to join the celebration of the 20th year of internet in the Philippines hosted by Smart Communications last March 29, 2014 at Manila Peninsula. It was an overwhelming crowd. The speakers and VIPs were the ones who initiated the use and spread of the internet. Even the father of internet himself, Vint Cerf, was invited to share his message for the event through a recorded video.   Last Saturday was the birthday of our friend Joie. She decided to celebrate her birthday at Concordia Orphanage at Sta. Mesa, Manila where her guests would become parents for a day. More than half of her attendees were friends from college so we’re like in a reunion…with kids! Lol. My big brother Matt, who happen to be Joie’s former officemate was also there.
