For the 2nd leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip, we rode a boat from the port of Poro in Camotes Islands, Cebu to Ormoc, Leyte. Our main destination in Leyte was the town of Maasim to visit Franz’s family. Stayed there for two days just in time for Mother’s Day and his father’s birthday! During our stay here, I learned a lot about spirits, beliefs and superstitions from their relatives which I find interesting and fascinating in many ways. The place isn’t much of a tourist destination but I enjoyed swimming to see school of fishes, sea urchin and starfishes not far from the coast! And thanks to this experience, I finally learned how to swim for real! Yay!
