  • During the holiday vacation, I was able to squeeze a little solo trip up north our little city (Cagayan de Oro) which was decided a 4 days before Christmas eve. They say you have to experience traveling solo atleast once. There I went. Camiguin is a beautiful island – still raw and very close to nature. Below are the highlights of the trip: KATIBAWASAN FALLS Falls are always fascinating. You agree? The long stretch from the cliff to its way down was just beautiful. You can go swimming at the falls and there are pasalubong shops outside. Entrance Fee is…

  • Definitely not your usual cafe! Tobey’s Game Cafe Manila is like a paradise of card and board games! As for my team who wanted a place to hangout on a Saturday evening, the place was perfect! Luckily, they have Cards Against Humanity. I’ve always wanted to play this game since Franz mentioned it to me and showed me a video of Pewdiepie play it . We had 2 hilarious rounds of this card game. We wanted to try another game. The owner, Ray, recommended Squint and was kind enough to teach us how to play it. Interesting game! As for…

  • For the 2nd leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip, we rode a boat from the port of Poro in Camotes Islands, Cebu to Ormoc, Leyte. Our main destination in Leyte was the town of Maasim to visit Franz’s family. Stayed there for two days just in time for Mother’s Day and his father’s birthday! During our stay here, I learned a lot about spirits, beliefs and superstitions from their relatives which I find interesting and fascinating in many ways. The place isn’t much of a tourist destination but I enjoyed swimming to see school of fishes, sea urchin and starfishes not…

  • I am loving Cebu! I think I might consider moving there for awhile just to experience the awesome nature wonders it offers! For summer 2014, Franz and I went to Cebu as the first leg of our Cebu-Leyte-Bohol trip from May 7-13. Our main destination in Cebu is the 1.5hour drive from Cebu City and another hour boat ride to the beautiful islands of Camotes! We stayed at Santiago Bay Resort and toured the place on a motorcyle for a day. For 500 pesos, the tour already includes Lake Danao, Timubo Cave (swimming!), Baywalk, and if you’re brave enough you…
