  • Last June 15 at the Philippine Tech Community Leads Meetup #8,  I gave a presentation on How to Close the Deal: Sponsorship Tips & Tricks. We had a really good discussion with lessons and stories from our own struggles as tech communities whose main source of funding is through sponsorships. I’ve was the former Executive Director of DevCon Philippines, a national non-profit volunteer organizations for developers for almost 4 years who now has a reach of over 50,000 developers in the country. • Flew back to my hometown Cagayan de Oro this weekend to give a talk on Relevant Skills in the IT industry for the 9th Quantum and I.T. Convention (QITC). There weren’t many conventions then in my city. We hosted the event in the same exact room. Pure nostalgia.

  •   The best conferences are those driven by passion. The Techstars APAC Summit that happened last August 22 – 24, 2016 at The Bellevue, Bohol, Philipines gathered the most engaged and passionate tech and startup community leaders in region. It was my first time to join the summit and I thought it was on whole new level of collaboration, stories and learning. Here’s a highlight video of the 3 day summit:
